Easter Baptism

Mason was Baptized on Easter Sunday with his cousin Akseli (17 months) in Atlanta, GA. Why Atlanta?, you ask. The short of it is that Adrian's sister Christel (who lives there with her husband and sons Erkki (age 7) and Akseli) was planning Akseli's baptism, and we sort of invited ourselves to be included. Not that the suggestion wasn't welcomed by Christel, of course. After all, it would be the first time we would be meeting Akseli and they would be meeting Mason. Then we found out that Mason's NYC uncles, Trent and Nick, were also joining us, and his Uncle Robert, Aunt Shawna, and cousins Brenna, Blythe, Fairy, Verity, and Robson would also be there! It ended up being an awesome (though very short) weekend. Thanks to everyone who was there as a witness of the blessed event.

Mason's uncles Trent and Nick got him this adorable outfit for his baptism, which happens to also be Easter. More pictures to follow after the actual event.

What's better than a Saturday brunch at home with friends?

Our friends Tucker and Jessica, and their kids, Maggie and Tyler, came over yesterday with bagels and cream cheese in hand, to meet Mason for the first time and catch up on all that's happened over the past year. It was great to see them. Thanks for making the trip out to Brooklyn, guys!

Cousins

Mason got to meet his cousins Zack (3 1/2) and Leah (18 months) for the first time a couple of weeks ago. We all rented a house in Scottsdale and enjoyed five sunny, warm days together. Also with us was "Gigi Jane", Mason's great grandma. We visited the train park on Indian Bend (great for kids - highly recommend it), went swimming, and saw some good friends that recently moved out there. It wasn't the most relaxing of vacations, but it was great regardless.

Luck o' the Irish

While in Arizona over St. Patrick's Day, we saw a rainbow, followed it to the end, and found this adorable little leprechaun at the end. Wish there had been a pot of gold as well, though I do have to say that we were plenty happy with just this little dude.
