Mason's First Christmas

We hosted Christmas at our house this year. My parents joined us for five days, which we thoroughly enjoyed, and Trent, Nick, and Adrian's Aunt Janice and cousin Cailin (and boyfriend Greg) came over to spend Christmas day. Mason scored lots of good stuff, including books, clothes, and a talking Elmo. My dad did the lion's share of the cooking (and even made us a delicious turkey soup the day after). Thankfully, he was willing and able to help! Overall, it was a successful first Christmas for us in many ways.

Our nanny sometimes brings her little boy with her to work. He's about 6 weeks older than Mason (and about twice the size). You'd think they would be too young to interact with each other, but it's cute to see how much they enjoy looking at each other. Maybe Angel will teach Mason a few things, like how to roll over?

Mason has recently discovered his feet. We knew that after he could grab onto them, it wouldn't be long before they made it into his mouth!

Mason saw the ocean for the first time over Thanksgiving weekend. We made our usual trip to Cocoa Beach and had a great time hanging out with Adrian's paternal grandparents, dad and step-mom, aunts Barbara and Cyndi, uncle Pete, great uncle John and cousin David (and of course the many manatee and dolphin).
